The iPhone 8 is here, bringing with it a new processor, wireless charging, and (naturally) a hefty price increase.

Wireless charging is the standout new feature, but it comes at the cost of a return to the old glass back, which means buying a protective case will be even more important for the iPhone 8 - though bear in mind that we haven't yet tested if any of these cases interfere with wireless charging, and some thicker cases might.

It's also worth noting that the 8 and 8 Plus are fractionally bigger than the last generation - most iPhone 7 and 7 Plus cases should fit them, but there's the chance that some form-fitting cases won't. “
