iPhone Screen Repair & Replacement Singapore
Cracked glass, unresponsive touch, flickering display, or a screen that has gone completely blank? We diagnose exactly what is damaged before recommending anything. Most screen replacements are done the same day within 30 to 60 minutes, with Face ID preserved, no data loss, and warranty included on every repair.
Signs Your iPhone Screen Needs Replacing
- Cracked or shattered glass: Even a hairline crack tends to spread with daily use. A cracked screen also exposes the display underneath to further damage and can affect touch response over time.
- Touchscreen not responding or responding in the wrong area: Touch issues after a drop usually mean the display layer underneath the glass has been damaged, not just the outer glass itself.
- Flickering display or lines appearing on screen: Vertical or horizontal lines, flickering, or areas of discolouration that appeared after a drop point to LCD or OLED damage that needs a full display replacement.
- Dead pixels or black spots: Patches of black or white that do not respond and do not move. These will not fix themselves and tend to spread.
- Screen completely black but phone is on: If the phone is still receiving calls or making sounds but the display is blank, the screen assembly has likely been disconnected or damaged internally.
- Display looks washed out or colours are off after a repair elsewhere: A sign the previous replacement used a low-quality panel. The brightness, contrast and colour accuracy should match what the phone had originally.
Glass Repair, LCD Replacement or OLED Replacement: What Do You Actually Need?
This is the question that affects cost the most and most shops do not explain it clearly upfront.
- Glass only repair: If the outer glass is cracked but the display underneath is still showing colours correctly and touch is still working normally, only the glass needs replacing. This costs less and takes less time. Not all models support glass-only repair.
- LCD replacement: Older iPhone models use LCD displays. If the screen shows lines, discolouration, or dead zones after a drop, the full LCD panel needs replacing, not just the glass.
- OLED replacement: iPhone X and all models from iPhone 12 onwards use OLED displays. OLED replacements cost more than LCD because the panels themselves are more expensive. The quality difference between a genuine part and a poor quality OLED is immediately visible in brightness and colour accuracy.
Our technician confirms which type of repair your phone needs after checking the display. You get a clear quote before anything starts.
Our iPhone Screen Repair Process
- Diagnostic Assessment: We check the display, touch function and surrounding components to confirm exactly what is damaged. If it is glass only, we tell you. If the display underneath is also affected, we explain what that involves and what it costs before proceeding.
- Transparent Quote: Clear upfront price before we touch anything. Genuine parts sourced from Apple for eligible models or quality OEM alternatives, we explain both options.
- Screen Replacement: The damaged screen is replaced with a panel that matches the original in brightness, colour accuracy and touch sensitivity. We take care throughout to preserve Face ID components.
- Testing and Calibration: We test touch response across the full screen, check for dead pixels, verify brightness and colour, and confirm Face ID is working before handing your phone back.
- Warranty Coverage: All screen replacements come with warranty on parts and workmanship.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between a cracked screen and a damaged display?
A cracked screen refers to the outer glass. If the display underneath is still showing correctly and touch is working, only the glass is damaged. If you see lines, dead zones, black spots, or discolouration, the display panel itself is also affected and needs replacing. We check this first and explain what your phone needs before quoting.
2. Will Face ID still work after a screen replacement?
Yes, as long as the repair is done correctly. Face ID is tied to the original TrueDepth sensor assembly, not the screen itself. We take care not to disturb that during screen replacements. If Face ID stops working after a repair done elsewhere, it is usually because the flex cable or sensor was damaged during that repair.
3. How long does iPhone screen replacement take?
Most replacements are done within 30 to 60 minutes for walk-in customers. We give you a time estimate after checking your device before we start.
4. How much does iPhone screen repair cost in Singapore?
Pricing depends on your iPhone model and the type of replacement needed, glass only, LCD, or OLED. We give you a clear quote after the diagnostic. WhatsApp us your model for an initial estimate.
5. Will I lose my data during a screen replacement?
No. Screen replacement is a hardware component swap and does not affect your stored data. We still recommend backing up your device before any repair as a general precaution.
6. Is it worth repairing a cracked iPhone screen?
If the phone is otherwise working well, yes. Screen repair costs a fraction of a new iPhone and restores full usability including touch, display quality and Face ID. Even if only the glass is cracked with no display damage, getting it fixed early prevents the crack from spreading and affecting the panel underneath.
7. What iPhone models do you support for screen replacement?
We replace screens across all major iPhone models including the iPhone 17 series, iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 series, iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, iPhone X, XS, XR, iPhone SE and older models going back to iPhone 6. Not sure about your model? WhatsApp us and we will confirm straight away.
8. Do you use genuine Apple screens?
For eligible iPhone models we use genuine parts sourced from Apple through the Independent Repair Provider (IRP) programme. For other models we use quality OEM alternatives. We explain both options and the cost difference before starting. For all other iPhone repair services beyond screen replacement, our main repair page covers everything we handle.
9. Can I replace just the glass without changing the full screen?
On some models yes. If the outer glass is cracked but the display underneath is working properly, glass-only repair is possible and costs less. We confirm after checking your device whether this applies to your model.
10. Do you provide a warranty on screen replacements?
Yes. All screen replacements at LYK Repair come with warranty coverage on parts and workmanship.
